WHY USAFA?: 'I chose to attend the United States Air Force Academy for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I felt it was my duty to serve and defend my country, and the Academy provides me with the best means I know in order to do that. The leadership training, character development, unparalleled academic programs, and exceptional athletics will all set me on the right path to becoming a successful officer in the United States Air Force. Also, there are many opportunities offered at the Academy that are the experiences of a lifetime; they are experiences that one could not get at a civilian university. Jumping, soaring and free study abroad are just a few of the programs that are unique to the Academy.'
