SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2016-17: Saw action in five games … took a shot on goal against UMKC … completed Operations Air Force at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas and Field Engineering Research Lab over the first block of summer … obstacle course cadre over the third block of summer … Superintendent’s list.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015-16: Did not play this season ... Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training over the first period of summer … dean’s and commandant’s list first semester … Superintendent’s list second semester.
Before Air Force: Played for Pride Soccer Club, coached by Josephy Shulman ... state champions in 2011 and 2014 ... WCDA national qualifier.
High School: Lettered four years in soccer and two in basketball...first-team all-state and defensive MVP as a senior...led Air Academy to a 20-0 record and Colorado 4A title as a senior...first-team all-conference, defensive MVP and all-state honorable mention as a junior...National Honor Society member and graduated Magna Cum Laude...high school soccer coach was Espen Hoshan.
Personal: Cadet squadron 18 … son of Tim and Cheri Sims...major is civil engineering…has four siblings...brother, John, is was teammate on the USAFA soccer team, graduated in 2017...cousins, Austin Dewing and David Louthan were teammates at Air Academy and current teammates on the USAFA soccer team ... has three family members that are USAFA graduates...hobbies are sports, fishing and skiing...favorite food is hot dogs...favorite class subject is math...person in history he’d most like to meet is George Washington ... greatest moment in sports was scoring a goal in the state finals...favorite sport other than soccer is basketball and volleyball...began playing soccer at age five.
