FRESHMAN YEAR | 2017-18: Recorded the sixth-fastest 5000-meter time in Academy history during the outdoor season...became the program’s first female freshman to break 17 minutes in that event after posting a time of 16:41.98 at the Drake Relays...earned the team’s Track Athlete of the Week award after that meet...initially broke the Academy’s Freshman Class Record during a 17:00.80 performance at the Stanford Invitational...ran the mile once during the indoor season, finishing fifth at the Air Force Team Challenge in 5:02.64 (adjusted for altitude).
MAJOR CROSS COUNTRY HIGHLIGHTS: Earned All-America honors in 2019 after finishing 36th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships...two-time all-conference and all-region selection...nabbed first-team all-MW honors as a junior (third), after claiming second-team status as a sophomore (14th)...also accounted for all-region honors during those two years (10th in 2019, 24th in 2018)...member of the record-setting cross country team that finished eighth at the 2019 NCAA Championships...also ran on the squad that finished second at the conference meet and third at the regional meet...helped the team to the highest national women’s ranking (12th) in Academy history.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Miles and Christy Mettler...mother ran track and cross country at South Dakota State University...has one older brother, Zachary, who is a member of the track and cross country teams at William Jessup University...also has one younger brother and one younger sister...majoring in behavioral science...future plans include working in intelligence or contracting...serving as Honor Officer...named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List...hobbies include reading, watching scary movies and eating ice cream...also loves running (a lot) and competing...favorite memories are those with the team...has memorized 50 numbers of pi...participated in a Cadet Summer Research Program over the summer...would like to add “I value my faith, friends, and family” and “I would not be here without the support of my family”...member of Cadet Squadron 03.
