JUNIOR YEAR | 2020: Played in 47 sets…member of the starting rotation nine times…accounted for 102 kills, 29 digs and 19 blocks in 12 matches…registered the Falcons’ highest kill total of the season (16) in the win over Fresno State…also led the team in kills during the win at Nevada (10)…recorded a season-high six digs on back-to-back nights against New Mexico… added season-best marks in solo blocks (career-best two), assisted blocks (three) and total blocks (career-best four) during the Fresno State series.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2019: Saw action in 96 sets...member of the starting rotation for 20 matches...combined for 176 kills and 138 digs...tallied a career-high 17 kills against Santa Clara...also registered double-digit kill totals against San Diego State (13), Little Rock (12), UC Irvine (11), Virginia Tech (10) and Boise State (10)...added 10 digs for first career double-double (10k-10d) against the Broncos...tallied a personal-best 11 digs against Gonzaga...matched that total the following weekend against Illinois State...collected 12 service aces on the year, backed by a four-ace performance in the Falcons’ win over Oral Roberts...also accounted for 29 blocks (five solo, 24 assisted) and 12 assists.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2018: Played in four sets after missing the majority of the season with injury...made collegiate debut in conference contest at Utah State...tallied a season-high two digs in that match...added a dig in home match against the Aggies.
HIGH SCHOOL | CLUB TEAM: Mt. Carmel High School...four-year letterwinner in volleyball...coached by Christine Beadle...member of the team that advanced to the San Diego section CIF championship and first-round of the California state playoffs as a senior...two-time selection to the San Diego Union Tribune’s All-Academic Team...Scholar-Athlete...finished freshman season ranked No. 6 in San Diego County with 210 kills as an outside hitter...competed at the club level for COAST and WAVE volleyball clubs...coached by Drew Burdette (COAST) and Marie Zidek (WAVE)...member of the COAST 17s’ team that was ranked in the nation’s top-five...finished fourth in the 17 Open division at the Triple Crown Volleyball Pre-Season NIT in Salt Lake City...played on the WAVE 18s’ team that finished the season ranked among the nation’s top-15.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Benito and Claudette Juarez...nickname is “Vitt”...has one older brother...majoring in political science...future plans include joining the Space Force or becoming an intelligence officer...attended the Academy’s Prep School...member of the school’s volleyball team...hobbies include trying new coffee spots around Colorado, hammocking and cooking...greatest personal moment in sports came from getting the game-winning kill in the semifinal match to earn a spot in the CIF finals as a high school senior...served as Vice Squadron Commander for Alpha Squadron during Basic Military Training at the Prep School over the summer…also went home to California and spent time with family...member of Cadet Squadron 40.
