Jennifer Langley enters her fourth season at Air Force and her first season as the women’s gymnastics interim head coach following a two-year stint as the program’s associate head coach. In four seasons with the women’s gymnastics staff, Langley has helped the Falcons garner 21 MPSF All-Conference accolades and 21 USA Gymnastics All-America nods.
Coach Langley helped Air Force to new heights in the 2019 campaign, guiding the Falcons to their first-ever Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) conference championship and a new program record team-score (195.725), set while claiming the conference title. Five of Langley’s gymnasts earned nine MPSF All-Conference accolades at the conclusion of the season. At the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships, Langley and company advanced to the team finals for the second-straight year. Five of Langley’s gymnasts earned 11 All-America nods.
In her first two seasons with the Falcons, Langley helped the team claim 12 MPSF All-Conference awards and 10 USA Gymnastics All-America accolades. In the 2018 campaign, Langley served as the team’s primary beam coach and choreographer for the beam and floor exercise where she saw Analise Howard set a new Academy record on the beam (9.925). Under her guidance, the Falcons tied the Academy’s all-time team score (195.675) and finished fourth at the 2018 MPSF Championships for the team's highest finish since the 2013 season.
Prior to joining the Academy, Langley spent three years as an assistant coach for the women's gymnastics team at Lindenwood University in Missouri. Langley, who was named the Assistant Coach of the Year at the conference, regional and USAG levels in 2015 and repeated the Midwest Independent Conference honor in 2016, served as the event coach of the vault and floor exercise.
During her tenure with the Lady Lions, Langley helped Lindenwood to back-to-back team titles at the USAG Collegiate National Championships. During the 2016 team finals, her gymnasts posted meet-best scores on the vault (49.175) and floor exercise (49.150) and helped the squad to a new school record score of 195.875. The Lady Lions also earned a pair of team titles at the MIC Championships during her time in Missouri, becoming the first team since 2008 to earn back-to-back team titles at the conference meet.
Langley coached four Lindenwood athletes to scores of 9.900 or higher on the vault and saw five gymnastics record scores of at least 9.875 on the floor exercise. She also helped Andavea Alexander register a 9.975 on the floor exercise during the 2016 USAG Championships -- the program's highest score on any event. Langley also led the team to school records on the vault (49.500) and floor exercise (49.475).
Prior to joining the Lindenwood staff, Langley spent two seasons as a graduate assistant for the gymnastics team at Texas Woman's University. During her time in Denton, she helped the Pioneers to a pair of runner-up finishes in the team finals of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships.
Langley received a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas in 2010, before earning an MBA from Texas Woman's University in 2013. She is married to Adam Langley, a Principal Program Cost Schedule and Control Analyst at Raytheon, who welcomed their first child, Ella Rose, in October 2017.
