Claire Felix
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Colorado Springs native Claire Felix, a former All-American middle blocker at UCLA, is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Air Force volleyball team. Felix, who will work with the Falcons’ middles, brings an impressive background that includes nearly a decade of playing professionally to the Academy.
Felix joined the Academy staff after playing professionally for the last several years, including seven seasons abroad, with stops in England, Finland, France, and Brazil. Prior to playing stateside with the San Diego Mojo of the Pro Volleyball Federation in 2024, she was named the Best Blocker of the French Cup twice and earned that same award during the Finish playoffs and at the English championships, where she led her team to the title as a player/coach. Felix was also ranked as one of the top-four attackers in Brazil during her stint in South America.
Felix, who played the majority of her prep career at The Classical Academy (TCA) in Colorado Springs and was named the Gazette’s Player of the Year as a sophomore, had an outstanding collegiate career at UCLA. A four-year middle blocker for the Bruins, Felix was an AVCA All-American (honorable mention) and first-Team All-Pacific South Region selection, while also earning All-Pac 12 (honorable mention) honors. Ranked sixth in UCLA history with a career hitting percentage of .337, Felix is the only Bruins’ player to ever hit for a perfect match – going 12-for-12, with no errors, during a 2014 victory over Cal.
Felix has remained active at the professional level, as she helped kick off the inaugural season of League One Volleyball in 2025 as a member of LOVB Madison.
