Bio
Raquel Rosas is in her first season as a cadet coach for the Air Force volleyball team. Rosas, a four-year starter with the Falcons' program, will assist the coaching staff in day-to-day practices while completing her final year of academics at the Academy.
Rosas, a native of Westminster, Calif., left her impact on Air Force's blocking records during her playing days, holding top-10 rankings on the program's Division I career standings for assisted blocks (fourth, 207), total blocks (sixth, 235), blocks per set (eighth, 0.73) and solo blocks (10th, 28). In addition, the 68 assisted blocks she accounted for in 2014 was the fourth-highest single-season output since the Academy moved into Division I.
In addition to her impressive blocking numbers, Rosas finished her career with 415 kills, 23 assists, 17 service aces, 103 digs, 563.5 points and a .212 hitting percentage. A member of the Falcons' starting rotation all four years, Rosas earned academic all-conference honors as a senior and was named to the all-tournament team of the 2015 Omni Invitational.
Rosas is majoring in behavioral sciences and earning a minor in Portuguese. A member of Cadet Squadron 36, she will graduate in May 2017.
