Patrick joined Air Force Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director, Leadership Giving in February 2023. In this role, Kosena assists in management of the Falcon Athletic Fund, the athletic department’s major gift strategy and the day-to-day management of the Thin Air Society.
Prior to the Academy, Patrick worked as a Donor Experience Officer at Boise State University. In this role, he paired the philanthropic goals of alumni, donors and stakeholders with opportunities at Boise State that directly impacted and supported Bronco student-athletes. Kosena played an important role in the growth of Boise State’s Lyle Smith Society, the premier leadership giving society to support Boise State Athletics.
Kosena came to Boise State from the University of Nebraska where he worked as the Assistant to the Athletic Director under former Husker Athletic Director, Bill Moos. Kosena’s responsibilities included community, governmental and charitable relations, coordinating special and group events, and assisting with the development and implementation of Nebraska Athletics’ inaugural name, image and likeness program, “NILbraska.”
A native of Missoula, Mont., Kosena earned his bachelor’s degree in Business and Sport Management from Carroll College (Helena, Mont.) in 2018, where he was a football student-athlete. He earned his master’s degree in Athletic Administration from the University of Nebraska in 2021.
