Water Polo Takes Fourth At WWPA Championships

The Falcons fell 5-4 to Redlands Univ. Sunday afternoon to finish fourth at the Western Water Polo Association Championships last weekend in Los Angeles.
Air Force took the lead in the second quarter with a goal from C1C (Sr.) Brian Hasbrouck. Redlands answered with a goal from Adam Foley to tie the game 1-1. C2C (Jr.) Chris Smith scored another goal for the Falcons to put Air Force up 2-1 at the half. C2C Charles Horn scored two goals for Air Force in the third, which were answered by Redlands to bring the game within one goal. The Falcons finished the fourth period scoreless as Redlands netted two to win the game 5-4. In goal, C3C (So.) Brandon Shroyer had nine saves and allowed five goals.
Air Force defeated UC Davis (8-6) in its first day of competition at and fell to tournament hosts Loyola Marmount Univ. (13-4) the following day.
