Air Force Lacrosse Falls At Army

Army took control of the match early on during the first period, outscoring the Falcons 3-1. Air Force was able to hold the Black Knights at three, leaving the second period scoreless. The second half saw the Falcons come out with two goals but giving up five to Army, leaving Air Force with a five-point deficit. The Black Knights finished the match outscoring Air Force 5-1 for a 13-4 victory over the Falcons.
C2C (Jr.) Nate Koss scored the first Falcon goal during the first period, assisted by team co-captain C2C Matt Dudderar. The second Air Force goal came from the stick of Dudderar late in the third period with an assist from team co-captain C1C (Sr.) Jay Agnew. Dudderar also knocked in the third goal for the Falcons just before the end of the third period. Air Force's final point was an unassisted goal from C3C (So.) Eric Lederer with less than three minutes left in the game.
The Falcons had 22 shots to Army's 46. The Black Knights also collected 50 ground balls to the Falcons' 36. C3C Bill Arnold had 22 saves for Air Force and both teams won the same number of faceoffs, 10.
Air Force falls to 2-6 on the season and will be in action again Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. facing Hofstra University at Hofstra.
