AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Tim Keller had a career-high 25 points and hit 6-of-10 3-pointers as Air Force defeated Belmont University 85-76 Wednesday night.
Keller was 7-for-11 on field goals and had four assists and five rebounds.
Air Force (5-2) was 12-23 on 3-pointers and entered the game first in the nation with 11.3 3-pointers per game.
Joel Gerlach scored 19 for Air Force and Vernard Jenkins had a season-high 13 points and five assists.
Adam Sonn had 18 points for Belmont (2-3). Adam Mark had 14, Jese Snyder 13, Steve Drabyn 12 and Nick Otis 11.
Air Force jumped to a 12-1 lead after Gerlach hit two 3-pointers and three free throws.
Belmont closed to within 23-16, but Air Force went on a 24-6 run and led 47-26 at the break. Air Force hit 76.2 percent for the half, including 8-of-13 3-pointers.
Belmont closed to within 79-70 with 1:31 to play, but Air Force was 6-of-10 on free-throws in the final minute to clinch the win.
