Air Force Downs UTEP In Consolation Game

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - A.J. Kuhle and Tim Keller scored 17 points apiece to lead Air Force to a 63-45 victory over Texas-El Paso in the consolation game of the Sun Classic Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
Kuhle was 3-of-5 from the 3-point line and led Air Force (6-4) with seven rebounds. Joel Gerlach added 14 points for the Falcons.
John Tofi led UTEP (2-7) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Tofi was just 3-for-15 from the field but 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
Air Force led for most of the game, going on a 15-3 run midway through the first half to take a 21-12 lead. The Falcons led 28-20 at the half.
Air Force shot 48 percent from the field while holding the Miners to just 30 percent.
UTEP outrebounded Air force 36-29.
