Falcons Take Out Texas-Pan American

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Sophomore guard Tim Keller scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, as Air Force defeated Texas-Pan American 65-44 Thursday night.
Keller tied his career high and also led the Falcons (3-2) with four steals.
Air Force sank a school-record 18 3-pointers and shot 57.5 percent from the field.
Keller hit a 3-pointer with 17:16 left in the first half to start a 13-0 run by the Falcons to put them up 16-5 with 11:34 left. The Falcons went on a 9-0 run later with Keller, A.J. Kuhl and David Peterson all hitting 3-pointers, giving Air Force a 34-16 halftime lead.
Texas-Pan American (2-5) staged a 13-0 run in the second half, led by Tomas Sitnikovas' play inside the paint and Eric Montalvo's drives down the lane to make it 40-35 with 11:02 left. Montalvo led the Broncs with 13 points.
The Broncs shot 35.3 percent from the field in the first half, but made 42.5 percent in the second half and three of eight 3-pointers.
