STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - A.J. Kuhle scored 23 points, including four of six 3-point shots for Air Force Sunday and the Falcons went on to beat Georgia Southern 70-56.
The Falcons (4-2) connected on 12-of-24 3-point attempts in the game including nine-of-13 in the first half in taking a 41-25 lead at the break.
Air Force also got 17 points from Tim Keller. Tom Bellairs addedd 12 and Joel Gerlach had 11.
Georgia Southern (4-3) was led by Julius Jenkins with 21 points. Frank Bennett added 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Eagles led 7-6 before Keller started the three-point barrage with his first of the game, sparking the Falcons to a 11-0 run over the next 3:48 of play for a 16-7 lead.
The Falcon hot shooting continued through the first few minutes of the second half as Air Force built a 57-33 lead after 8:30 of the second half.
The Eagles, however, went on a 14-0 run to get within 57-47.
Kuhle ended the run with a 3-pointer with 3:19 left.
