Air Force defeated Division II Chadron State, 33-6, Thursday night in a dual match at the Academy. The Falcons won eight of the 10 matches and improved to 7-3 overall this season. Chadron State, ranked 16th nationally, falls to 3-8.
Senior Andrew Peters (133) and sophomore Chris Bennett (141) each won by fall. The Falcons' two nationally ranked wrestlers also had successful nights. Senior Scott Frohardt, ranked 13th, won by major decision, 13-5, at 149 pounds while eighth-ranked Kevin Hoy won his heavyweight match by technical fall, 16-0. Frohardt picked up his 37th win of the year while Hoy recorded his team-best 38th victory.
The Falcons continue their home stand by hosting 13th-ranked Northern Iowa this Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Academy.
