Air Force routs Boston University, 6-1

Despite falling behind 1-0 after the three doubles matches, the Air Force men's tennis team won its ninth consecutive match, defeating Boston University, 6-1, Monday at the Cadet Gymnasium's Indoor Tennis Courts. Air Force is now 14-1 this season.
BU took the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Air Force's No. 1 team of Jason Hoggan and Casey Wallace defeated the Terrier's top team of Geoff Wagner and Adam Siegel, 8-3.
Air Force stormed back to sweep all six singles matches. Freshman Shannon Buck improved to 14-0 at No. 1 singles with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory over Wagner, while Eric Pittman beat Siegel, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 spot. Tyler McClung defeated J.P. Debbink 6-2, 6-0 at No.3 singles and Justin Mancinelli downed Noel Moossa 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4. Chris Dong and Jason Vinoles played an eight-game pro-set at No. 5 singles with Dong prevailing 8-4, and Patrick Jackson won the No. 6 match, 6-0, 6-1.
Air Force is idle until Sunday, March 23, when the Falcons take on Santa Clara University in California, beginning at noon.
