Phifer earns All-American honors

Air Force senior Josh Phifer was named to the CollegeBaseballInsider.com All-American honorable mention team. CollegeBaseballInsider.com has been covering college baseball on the national level for the past two seasons.
Phifer, an outfielder from Torrington, Wyo., led the Mountain West Conference in batting average (.413), slugging percentage (.804) and on-base percentage (.502) in all games. A second-team MWC selection, he became the second Falcon in the four-year history of the league to win the batting title. He is the first player in the history of the MWC to lead the league in all three categories in the same season.
