Peters leaves for Feather River College

Air Force head baseball coach Reed Peters has accepted the head coaching position at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif. Peters resigned after spending four years as the Air Force coach.
A native of Denver, Colo., Peters led the Falcons to an 88-134 record in four years. The 2002 Mountain West Coach of the Year, Peters came to the Academy as an assistant coach in the fall of 1998. In his first three seasons at Air Force, Peters won more conference games than any other Falcon coach in their first three seasons. Peters won 28 league games in three seasons, passing the record of Joe Robison and Eric Campbell, who each won 24 games in his first three seasons. Peters, a 1992 graduate of UNLV, won 73 games overall from 2000-02, the second most by a Falcon baseball coach in the first three seasons. Peters led the Falcons to back-to-back 23-win seasons in 2000 and 2001 and to 27 in 2001.
"Reed did an excellent job when he was here and he will be missed," said Director of Athletics Col. Randall Spetman. "He is a great person and coach and we wish him the best in his future."
"I've coached or played at all levels and wanted to come back to the west coast," Peters said. "I am excited about the opportunity at Feather River and feel like a championship can be won here."
A new Air Force head baseball coach will be named at a later date.
