Air Force Defeats Marist 3-0 to Remain Unbeaten

Delavane Diaz notched a career-high 26 kills against Marist, including her 1,000th career kill, leading the Falcons to a 3-0 (30-16, 30-22, 30-27) victory over Marist. The Falcons remain unbeaten on the season and will face Portland State for the Army Invitational tournament title.
Diaz powered the Falcons its second straight victory. She had a career-high 26 kills on 47 attacks for a .447 hitting percentage. She reached the 1,000 mark early in game one with a slam down the line. Kristin Huitt continued to shine at the setter position, notching 45 assists in the three-game match. Libero Jenalee Burke notched a match-high 13 digs for the Falcons.
Air Force has looked solid in its two wins. The team opened the season with a 3-0 win over Army and continued to dominate offensively in the win over Marist. The players combined for a .364 hitting percentage (50k-14e-99a).
The Falcons will face Portland State in an effort to bring home the tournament trophy. The Vikings are also unbeaten and have not lost a game. The match is set to start at 6 p.m. EST.
