Baylor beats Air Force, 3-1

Three different Baylor players scored as the Bears beat Air Force, 3-1, in the second round of the Cal Poly Women's Soccer Invitational, Sunday, Sept. 21, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Baylor forward Bethany Vick scored the game's first goal in the 16th minute on a cross from Brittany Zonker. In the 53rd minute, Tiffany Bosher gave the Bears a 2-0 lead. She took a pass from Kate Hensman and beat Falcon goalkeeper J.J. Wolf. Baylor put the game out of reach with 3:14 remaining when Missy McConnell collected a loose ball in the penalty box and scored from three yards out.
With three minutes remaining in the game, the Falcons got on the board. Sophomore Hilary Robbins scored her first career goal from five yards out.
Baylor out-shot Air Force, 21-11 overall and 11-4 on goal. The Bears had four corner kicks to the Falcons' one. Wolf made seven saves for AFA while Baylor keeper Monica Housden had three.
Air Force fell to 4-3 on the season while Baylor improved to 5-3.
The Falcons remain on the road with a pair of non-conference games at Idaho, Sept. 26 and at Gonzaga, Sept. 28.
