Falcon Trio Concludes Competition at Cal Multi Meet

BERKELEY, Calif. - Three members of the Air Force men's track and field program concluded competition at the Cal Multi Meet on Thursday, March 25, in Berkeley, Calif. Senior Nick Herald (Sparks, Nev.) finished fifth 6645 points to lead the trio of Falcons. Junior Caleb Pelger (Peabody, Mass.) took seventh (6311 points) and freshman Brian Walsh (Redlands, Calif.) finished ninth with 5755 points.
Individual event results from the second day of competition are not available at this time.
The original group of 16 competitors was cut to 12 for the final day of competition - two groups of six. Walsh competed in the first group and posted the third-best total of that group. Herald and Pelger finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the second group.
Pelger's total of 6311 is the seventh-best total in Academy history.
The trio will join the rest of the team in Palo Alto, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational, which is slated to run March 26-27 at the Cobb Track and Angell Field.
