Walter qualified for tomorrow's 1500-meter run finals after clocking a time of 3:46.98 to finish seventh in the preliminaries. Picou clocked a time of 21.35 to qualify for the finals of the 200-meter dash, finishing eighth in the race.
Sophomore Marcus Wells (Joseph, Ore.) won his flight in the javelin throw with a toss of 199'5".
