Falcons Conclude Day Two At Mountain West Conference Championship

Sunriver, Ore. -- With one round remaining, the Air Force golf team sits in ninth place at the 2006 Mountain West Conference Championship, being held at the 7,630-yard, par-72 Crosswater Course at the Sunriver Resort. The Falcons fired a 295 in round two and currently hold a score of 614, nine strokes behind eighth-place Wyoming. New Mexico, which turned in a 283 on day two, sits atop the team leaderboard at 567 while TCU's Drew Stoltz leads the individual standings with a two-round total of 141 (-3).
Continuing to lead Air Force in the individual standings is junior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.), who fired a 3-under-par 69 in the second round, finishing the day with five birdies, to tie for 12th place at 144. Sophomore Tyler Labrum (Roosevelt, Utah), who improved on his first round score with a 75 in the second round, is in 38th place, while sophomore Matt Tanis (Asbury, N.J.) sits three strokes behind at 159 in 40th place.
Rounding out the group for Air Force are sophomore Bob Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.), in 42nd place at 162, while junior Chad Follett (El Paso, Texas) posted a 2-over-par 74 on Friday to bring his two-round total to 164, to sit in 44th place with one round remaining.
The final round of the MWC Championship is set to begin tomorrow morning at 9:00.
