Margaret Frash Earns More Academic Honors

METAIRIE, La. -- Air Force senior-to-be Margaret Frash was named to the 2006 NCAA Division I All-Academic Team, the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association announced this week. Frash, who completed her junior season with a 3.79 grade point average in aeronautical engineering, also earned Mountain West Conference scholar-athlete and academic all-conference honors, as well as academic all-district honors by CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine.
Frash is the Academy record-holder in the 3000-meter steeplechase. She has earned academic all-conference honors in cross country and track during each of her first three seasons. The native of Newburyport, Mass., is a NCAA Regional Qualifier in the steeplechase during each of the past two seasons.
To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic team, student-athletes must have at least a 3.25 GPA and have qualified from the NCAA Regional or National Championships.
