50 Years of Air Force Soccer This season marks the 51st year of varsity soccer for Air Force. This is Air Force's 11th season in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. AFA was a member of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Soccer League from 1956-1988 before joining the MPSF for four years from '92-95. The Falcons then joined the Western Athletic Conference for three years before re-joining the MPSF in 1999.

Sagastume Shooting for 300 Air Force head coach Lou Sagastume has 298 career victories, which places him 12th on the list of the Division I winningest active coaches. Sagastume has a career record of 298-183-43 over 29 years, and has a record of 277-176-43 in his 27 seasons at Air Force.
Guyette, McNabb All-MPSF in 2005 Junior co-captain Brian Guyette and senior Duncan McNabb were named to the all-MPSF second-team last season. Guyette led the league in saves while McNabb had five points.

Air Force 1, Army 1 (8-25-06)Army's Bill Watts scored with two seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game and the Black Knights and Air Force played two scoreless overtime periods Friday night as the two service academies battled to a 1-1 draw in front of a regular-season Cadet Soccer Stadium record of 3,206 fans. It was the season-opening game for both teams.
Watts headed his shot past Falcon goalie Brian Guyette, who had come out of the net to stop the pass, but the ball skidded past Guyette and another Army attacker right to Watts, who found the open net.
Freshman Josh Rhynard scored the first goal of his career for the Falcons in the ninth minute, taking a pass from fellow frosh Steve Noller and firing a rocket from the top of the box past Army goalie John-Michael Gallogly.
Air Force had two outstanding scoring chances as Noller chipped a shot that hit the crossbar in the 40th minute, and senior Duncan McNabb also hit the crossbar with a shot in the fifth minute of the second overtime stanza.
The game was fairly even statistically, as Air Force attempted 15 total shots, compared to 13 for Army and each team had four shots on goal. Guyette and Gallogly each made three saves.
Air Force had a man advantage during the overtime periods after Army's Adrian Moreno was issued a red card with just over one minute remaining in regulation time.
