2Lt Paul Gensic Places Second at World Military Games

HYDERABAD, India - Clearing 16'8¾", former Air Force standout 2Lt Paul Gensic placed second in the pole vault at the CISM World Military Games on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Representing the Air Force World Class Athlete Program, Gensic was one of eight athletes to compete in the event at the Gachibowli GMCB Athletics Stadium.
Gensic finished second to Germany's Sureth, who cleared 17'0¾". Athletes from Italy and Greece posted matching marks of 16'4¾" to finish third and fourth, respectively (the final standings are based on the number of attempts to clear the projected height).
The Counseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) is the only Military Sports Body that is recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
