Air Force Falls At Wisconsin, 74-60

MADISON, Wisc. - The Air Force women's basketball team (4-5) lost at Wisconsin (5-3), 74-60. Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center. Senior Alecia Steele led the Falcons with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Badgers were 9-of-13 from three point range for the game and had four players reach double-figures in scoring. Danielle Ward led the team with 14 points. Jolene Anderson, Janese Banks and Tara Steinbauer each had 13 points.
Pamela Findlay and Brooke Cultra joined Steele in double-figure scoring for Air Force. Findlay scored 13 points and Cultra Added 12 points and three assists.
Air Force hung tough in the first-half, but Wisconsin shot 6-of-9 from three-point range to take a 43-33 lead at halftime. The Falcons were within three points at the nine minute mark and five points at the two minute mark, but could never pull closer.
The Falcons return to action Tuesday, Dec. 11, hosting Cal State Stanislaus. Tip off is at 7 p.m. with pregame radio beginning at 6:45 p.m. online and locally on the Sports Animal AM 1300.
