Air Force senior goalie Brian Guyette, who helped the Falcons sweep a pair of home games last weekend, was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer Brine Player of the Week, announced by the conference.
Guyette posted the seventh and eighth shutouts of his career as Air Force downed Birmingham-Southern, 2-0, and St. Francis University, 1-0, at Cadet Soccer Stadium. He made one save against BSC and two versus St. Francis as the Falcon defense had an outstanding weekend in front of him.
Guyette, from Phoenix, Ariz., is currently second in the MPSF with a 0.75 goals-against average and has a scoreless streak of 218 minutes and 16 seconds.
The Falcons (2-2) travel to West Point, N.Y., this weekend for the BAE Systems Army Fall Classic. The Falcons battle Marist College on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. (ET), and service-academy rival Army on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. (ET).
