Falcons Play Final Two at Home
The Air Force Falcons (4-9, 2-3 MPSF) play their final two home games this weekend at Cadet Soccer Stadium. On Friday, Oct. 31, the Falcons will host Sacramento State beginning at 7 p.m., then on Sunday, Nov. 2, Air Force battles San Jose State at 1 p.m., in the final home game of the season.
Sacramento State enters Friday's game with a 6-6-2 overall record and a 1-4 mark in MPSF play, while San Jose State, which plays at Denver on Friday, is 5-5-3 overall and 1-4 in league action.
Falcons Split in California
Prior to taking last weekend off, Air Force split a pair of games in California. The Falcons defeated Sacramento State, 2-1, on Friday, Oct. 17 behind a goal and an assist from junior Kevin Rosser and freshman Ben Chavez' first career goal. AFA then dropped a 1-0 decision to San Jose State on Sunday, Oct. 19.
Seniors to be Honored on Sunday
Two seniors will be honored prior to Sunday's game against San Jose State. Jason Dall and Reid Gaiser have been vital assets to the Falcon program the past four years.
Dall, a co-captain this season, has played in all 13 games in 2008 and has not missed a game since early in his sophomore season. He has two goals in his career.
Gaiser, meanwhile, has scored four goals and added one assist in his career at AFA. He has appeared in all 13 games this season.
Gullo Piling up the Saves
Junior goalie Jim Gullo has been busy the past few games for Air Force. In each of Air Force's last three games, Gullo has made eight saves, tying his career-high. In the game prior to that, he had seven saves. Gullo currently leads the MPSF with 66 saves and is ranked 24th in the country in saves per game at 5.08.
