Air Force Wrestling to Host Youth Clinic

USAFA, Colo. - The Air Force wrestling team will hold a Youth Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 8, prior to the Falcons' home football game versus Colorado State. The clinic, which will be held in the Cadet Gym Wrestling Room (northwest corner, lower level), will start with an open practice from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Session one of the clinic, which will run from 1:00-1:45 p.m., is designed for 8-12 year olds. Meanwhile, session two is scheduled from 1:45-2:30 p.m., and is open for 12-18 year olds. The clinic is free for all youths in eighth grade and below; participants in ninth-12th grade must pay a $5.00 registration fee in accordance with NCAA regulations. The first 50 participants to register will receive a voucher for a free Air Force Wrestling t-shirt.
The youth clinic will be run by the Air Force wrestling coaching staff, which includes head coach Joel Sharratt and assistants Bart Horton and Maj. Tom Tingley. Six current Falcon wrestlers will be on hand as counselors, including returning NCAA qualifiers Stephen Crozier and Tyler French and sophomores Derek Gillespie, Andrew Zwirlein, Joseph Stafford and Matt Torrence.
