Air Force Falls At San Diego State, 64-34

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Air Force women's basketball team lost to San Diego State, 64-34, in Mountain West Conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon at Cox Arena. The loss drops the Falcons to 10-18 overall and 4-12 in MWC play. The Aztecs improved to 16-12, 7-9.
Air Force struggled with San Diego State's pressure defense shooting just 30 percent from the field. The Falcons were held to season low for points in a half and second-lowest total of the year.
The Aztecs raced out to an 29-9 halftime lead and never looked back. With Air Force senior Alecia Steele missing her second-straight game with a shoulder injury, San Diego State's Paris Johnson wreaked havoc inside the paint, scoring 23 points and seven rebounds. Allison Duffy added 14 points.
Pamela Findlay led Air Force in scoring for the second straight game with 11 points. Chasmine Jones added a career-high 10 points in 17 minutes off the bench.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday, March 12 at the Mountain West Conferene Women's Basketball Championships in Las Vegas. Air Force will be the #7 seed and take on #2 see TCU at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the Mountain West Sports Network (The Mtn.).
