James Gullo Named MWC Scholar-Athlete

Goalkeeper James Gullo has been selected to receive a 2007-08 Scholar-Athlete Award from the Mountain West Conference. A total of 506 student-athletes received the highest academic honor bestowed by the conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
Gullo, who will be a junior this fall, carries a 3.76 GPA and is majoring in biochemistry. He saw action in one game last season for the Falcons and will be the only returning goalie from last year's roster this fall.
