Cross Country Announces 2008 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - With 10 planned meets on the horizon, Air Force cross country head coach John Hayes recently announced the program's schedule for the upcoming 2008 academic year. The Falcons will travel to seven different meets during the regular season, en route to the annual conference, regional and national championship meets.
Air Force opens the 2008 campaign in Laramie, Wyo., for the annual Wyoming Invitational on Friday, Aug. 29. The squad will then travel to San Diego, Calif., for the Aztec Invitational on Sept. 13, before splitting up for the Lobo Invitational (Albuquerque, N.M.) and Rocky Mountain Shootout (Boulder, Colo.) on Sept. 27.
The month of October begins at the Fort Hays Invitational on Oct. 11 in Hays, Kan. The team then travels to the prestigious Pre-NCAA Meet on Oct. 18 in Terre Haute, Ind., before closing out the regular season against Colorado at the Air Force Open on Oct. 25, at North Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs.
The championship season begins on Nov. 1 with the Mountain West Conference championships in San Diego, Calif. The NCAA Mountain Regional meet will be held in Fort Collins, Colo., on Nov. 15, and the top teams and individuals from the regional meets advance to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 24 in Terre Haute, Ind.
