Air Force Downed 79-43 At TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Air Force women's basketball team dropped a 79-43 Mountain West Conference contest at TCU Saturday night at Daniel Meyer Coliseum. The Falcons dropped to 4-13, 0-4 while the Horned Frogs improved to 11-6, 3-1.
T.K. LaFleur, Emily Carter and Helena Sverrisdottir combined for 49 points to lead TCU. LaFleur led all scorers with 18 points. Carter added 16 and Sverrisdottir 15.
Raimee Beck hit four three-point baskets and scored 16 points to lead Air Force. Kim Kreke added 10 points and nine rebounds and Brooke Cultra tied a career-high with 14 rebounds. Anna Gault led the Falcons with four assists.
TCU took a 34-24 halftime lead by out-shooting Air Force 43.8 percent to 33.3 percent from the field. The Horned Frogs blew the game open in the second-half, outscoring the Falcons 45-19. For the game, TCU shot 48.4 percent from the field, while the AFA shot 27.9 percent.
Air Force returns to action Tuesday, Jan. 20, hosting Colorado State. Tip off is slated for 6:05 p.m. MST and will be televised live on the Mountain West Sports Network.
