Last Meeting
The Air Force women's basketball team dropped a 52-41 Mountain West Conference contest to Wyoming Wednesday night at Clune Arena.
In a close game, it was Wyoming's three-point shooting that was the difference. The Cowgirls made 6-of-11 from long range, good for a 54.5 percentage. Kristen Scheffler did most of the damage for Wyoming scoring a game-high 21 points and hitting 5-of-8 from downtown. Hillary Carlson also had a strong game for the Cowgirls, adding 13 points and six rebounds.
Air Force was led by senior Brooke Cultra, who notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Kim Kreke also played well for the Falcons, just missing out on a double-double by one point, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds. Kreke also finished with a career-high five blocked shots to go with three steals.
Both teams made 7-of-27 shots in the first half, but four of Wyoming's baskets were three-pointers as Air Force trailed 22-16 at the half. The Falcons did their best to get back in the game, but the Cowgirls were able to stay ahead the rest of the game.
Sophomore Raimee Beck finished with six points and a team-high four assists on the night. Sophomore Liz Dunsworth added three points and eight rebounds and freshman Anna Gault had two assists and three rebounds.

The 19 rebounds ties for the fourth-most in Air Force history, the seventh-highest mark in Mountain West Conference history and the second-highest total by a senior in MWC history.
