COLLEGE STATION, Texas - At the conclusion of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this evening, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded Air Force junior Nick Frawley with the second All-America honor of his career. Frawley earned the distinction after recording a seventh-place finish in the pole vault during yesterday's national championships.
Frawley is the 10th member of the men's program to earn All-America status during the indoor season and just the second since 1998. He joins Dale Stovall (1966), Douglas Withers (1966, 1967), Alonzo Babers (1983), Dan Rojas (1984), Jeff Kuzma (1994), Eric Mack (1996), Andrew Marx (1997), Zach Smith (1998) and Paul Gensic (2004, 2005).
He is the second pole vaulter to collect All-America accolades during the indoor season, as Gensic picked up a pair of certificates during the 2004-05 seasons.
With the indoor season now complete, the Falcons will head outdoors, beginning this weekend (March 20-21) with the Willie Williams Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
