Track and Field to Host Air Force Twilight Open on Friday

The Air Force track and field team concludes the regular season this Friday (May 8), when it hosts its annual Twilight Open and Senior Day Celebration at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex. The meet, which will serve as the final tune-up before next week's conference championships, is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. (MT).

MEET INFORMATION
The Air Force Twilight Open will be held at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex. A complete schedule of events is listed below. Admission is free, although spectators without a DoD ID must register to access the base prior to the event (additional information below). Live results will be available at GoAirForceFalcons.com/TrackFieldResults, while in-meet updates will be posted on the team's official social media accounted (X|IG: @af_tfxc).
BASE ACCESS
The U.S. Air Force Academy has adjusted the process to access the installation, which will affect Friday's meet. While the base remains open for events, if you do not have a DoD ID card, you will need to obtain a pass to enter the base. INFORMATION AND LINKS FOR SPECTATOR ACCESS CAN BE FOUND AT GOAIRFORCEFALCONS.COM. Once you register, you will receive a message on your phone about approval. Each adult requesting a base pass must present a valid driver's license to scan at the gate. Spectators under the age of 18 with an approved adult are allowed to access the base for athletic events.

At the conclusion of the Air Force Twilight Open, the Falcons will celebrate the 20 members of its senior class – Ethan Ashley, Zach Ayers, Jevonte Eaves, Ricky Fetterolf, Massimo Grisotto, India Jones, Tanner Lindahl, Brenton Maddox, Ashton Higgerson, Bryce Lentz, Jayden Nats, Jacob Nelson, Jettason Rose, Max Sannes, Ben Scheller, Jacqui Spencer, Beatrice Shea, Texas Tanner, Nathalia Veal, and Eric Yu.
MEN REMAIN AMONG THE NATION'S TOP 30
The men remain among the nation's top 30, as they stand at No. 27 in the May 6 edition of the USTFCCCA National Rankings, marking the sixth-straight week that the Falcons have been listed among the NCAA Top 30 in a listing of nearly 200 teams.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Backed by NCAA leading marks in the discus (66.30m) and hammer (78.87m) from Texas Tanner, four Falcons are listed among the nation's top 25 in the latest NCAA rankings (May 5). Tanner is also listed at No. 16 in the shot put (19.24m), while Jayden Nats is ranked 11th in the 100-meter run (27:59.31) and Jettason Rose is listed 17th for 200 meters (20.45a. On the women's side, Morgan Glaser is listed sixth in the high jump with a 1.87-meter clearance.
SQUAD GOALS
With a combined distance of 229.05 meters, the men's discus quartet of Texas Tanner, Evan Keefe, Massimo Grisotto and Mitchell Blakeslee are currently ranked No. 2 in the May 6 installment of the USTFCCCA #EventSquad Rankings – which are determined by the cumulative season-best marks from a team's top four athletes. The men's 1500-meter squad of Dominykas Remeikis, Ben Scheller, Saketh Rudraraju, and Junior Allen is ranked No. 12 with a 14:41.04 total, while the men's hammer squad of Tanner, Keefe, Grisotto, and Arden Jenkins hold that same ranking with a 238.46-meter distance. In addition, the men's shot put (No. 15, 68.43m), men's steeplechase (No. 17, 36:25.24), men's pole vault (No. 18, 20.01m) and women's high jump (No. 19, 6.78m) are also ranked among the nation's top 20.
DEWALT CLAIM PROGRAM-RECORD FOURTH MW FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK AWARD
[05-05-26] Zachary DeWalt captured Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors for a program-record fourth time on May 5. With the selection, DeWalt became the first Falcon freshman to capture four of the conference honors in a single season, with one indoor and three outdoor awards this year.

[05-02-26] The Falcons accounted for 16 Air Force Top 10 all-time marks at the Doug Max Invitational on May 2, while adding 11 marks that landed between 11-25 on the program's all-time standings. The 16 top-10 marks easily surpassed the season-high of 12 from the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational.
