Men's 4x1600-Meter Relay Concludes Action at Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Air Force men's 4x1600-meter relay quartet of Matt Williams, Justin Tyner, Daniel Castle and Kyle Jones concluded posted a ninth-place finish at the 100th Drake Relays this morning (April 24) in Des Moines, Iowa. They were the lone representatives of the track and field team at the prestigious meet this year.
The relay, comprised of three seniors (Williams, Castle and Jones) and one sophomore (Tyner), clocked a time of 17:15.65 to finish ninth in the 14-team race.
While these four Falcons were the only ones in action at the Drake Relays, several members of the Air Force track and field team will be competing this afternoon at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley, Calif.
