Phaelen French Moves in Heptathlon Top-10

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - With a total of 3,814 heptathlon points, freshman Phaelen French moved into the Air Force track and field program's top-10 list at the conclusion of the Glenn Morris Heptathlon on Friday, April 24. Competing in the first heptathlon of her collegiate career, French moved into ninth on the program's all-time list.
French finished the meet in fifth place with 3,814 points. Her best finish of the day came in the 800-meter run, as she won the heptathlon event with a time of 2:23.71. She also earned a fourth-place finish in the long jump (15'8¼") and a fifth-place score in the javelin throw (86'0").
The rest of the Air Force track and field team will descend on Fort Collins tomorrow (April 25) for the Jack Christiansen Invitational.
