Nick Frawley Named MWC Athlete of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force junior pole vaulter Nick Frawley (Midlothian, Texas) was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week. It is the second honor of the season for Frawley, who was also tabbed on Feb. 17.
Frawley finished third in the elite section at the prestigious Texas Relays on April 4. Clearing a season-best height of 17'4½", Frawley finished just one inch shy of his personal-best outdoor mark. The performance qualifies Frawley for the NCAA Regional Championships. He is currently tied for the best clearance in the conference and the fourth-highest mark in the nation.
It is the second consecutive week that an Air Force athlete has earned the conference's weekly honor, as senior Sean Houseworth claimed the accolade on March 31.
