Air Force Quintet Concludes Competition at Potts Invitational

BOULDER, Colo. - Five members of the Air Force track and field team concluded competition at the Potts Invitational this afternoon (Saturday, Jan. 23). Sprinter Chad LIscar joined multi-event athletes James Dills, Blair O'Bryant, Jacob Ringrose and Michael Tibbs at the annual meet in Boulder, Colo. Competing against local collegiate teams, Air Force earned two event titles.
Liscar picked up a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.72, while Dills, Tibbs, Ringrose and O'Bryant teamed up to win the 4x400-meter relay in 3:48.96.
O'Bryant and Ringrose finished second and third, respectively, in the 400-meter dash, as O'Bryant clocked a time of 54.27 and Ringrose finished in 56.57. The Falcons also earned a top-three finish from Tibbs, who posted a career-best distance of 20'2½" to take third in the long jump.
Tibbs recorded a career-best time of 9.06 in the 60-meter hurdles, as he picked up a fourth-place finish in that event, while Ringrose finished fifth with a personal-best time of 9.08. O'Bryant, who placed eighth in the hurdles with a time of 10.18, picked up a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:15.13).
Air Force earned three additional top-eight finishes in the long jump. Behind Tibbs' third-place finish in the long jump, O'Bryant (18'7½"), Dills (18'6½") and Ringrose (18'1½") finished sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively. Liscar placed eighth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.15, while Dills placed 12th in the preliminary heat of that event.
