This Week
Air Force (1-4, 1-2 aha) is off until Friday, Nov. 5, when the Falcons host Mercyhurst (0-3-1, 0-1-0 aha) at Cadet Ice Arena (2,470), at 7:05 pm. AFA then hosts RIT (0-4-1, 0-0-0 aha) on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 6:05 pm. RIT and Mercyhurst are both travelling to Colorado for just one game because of the new league schedule as each team in the west pod plays each other three times.

The games will be broadcast in Colorado Springs on The Sports Animal AM 1300 and on the internet at www.GoAirForceFalcons.com. Pregame show begins 30 minutes before faceoff. Air Force plays two Sunday games in the next two series. The Falcons host RIT on Sunday, Nov. 7 and then No. 5 Yale on Sunday, Nov. 14. Faceoff is at 6:05 p.m. each night at Cadet Ice Arena
Scouting the Lakers
Mercyhurst is 0-3-1 on the season The Lakers opened the year with a come-from-behind 4-4 overtime tie at Michigan, currently ranked fourth in the nation Mercyhurst was then swept by Western Michigan and lost at home to Canisius, 5-2, in its AHA opener Freshman Taylor Holstrom and senior Ryan Raven are tied for the team lead with two goals Freshman Jordan Tibbett has played nearly every minute and, despite an 0-3-1 record, he has a .917 saves percentage and a 2.80 GAA.
Scouting the Tigers
RIT is 0-4-1 overall this season RIT's losses have come to No. 16 Union, No. 20 Rensselaer, No. 17 St. Cloud State and No. 9 Nebraska-Omaha. The team tied UMass-Lowell. The Tigers open AHA play against Robert Morris on 29. Junior Tyler Brenner leads the team with five goals and six assists this season. The Tigers have used three goaltenders this season and all have played nearly equal time.
Series with Mercyhurst
AFA and Mercyhurst have played 14 times and each team has won six with two ties. Last season, Mercyhurst took three of four points in the series at AFA. Home ice has meant nothing in this series as Mercyhurst has won four of the six games played at Cadet Ice Arena, holding a 4-1-1 advantage. AFA has a 3-2-1 in games played in Erie and has won both games on neutral ice.
Series with RIT
AFA and RIT have played 26 times and each team has won 12 with two ties. Last season, Air Force swept RIT with a pair of one-goal wins at the Academy. RIT swept Air Force late in the season in Rochester. In games played at the Academy, AFA is 8-5-2
