Falcons Host Wyoming In Home Finale
The Air Force women's basketball team hosts Wyoming in its 2009-10 home finale this Wednesday, March 3, at Clune Arena. Internet radio and live stats will be available for the game.
Final Home Game For Kathleen Schjodt
The Wyoming game will be the final home game for Falcon senior Kathleen Schjodt. A four-year letterwinner and a team co-captain this year, Schjodt has appeared in 68 career games, starting 29. The Hot Springs, S.D. native is averaging 6.8 points per game.
2009-10 Falcons
Air Force returns six letterwinners and three starters from last years team. Junior guard Raimee Beck is the Falcons' top returning scorer, averaging 12.9 points per game as a sophomore. Junior center Liz Dunsworth and sophomore point guard Anna Gault also started last year. Air Force welcomes nine freshmen to the team, the largest freshman class in school history.
Last Outing
Air Force dropped a 69-55 contest at UNLV Saturday. Junior guard Raimee Beck led the Falcons with 17 points and nine rebounds. She also surpassed the 1,000 career point mark in the game, becoming the 12th person in school history to reach that mark. Freshman guard Alicia Leipprandt followed with 12 points and senior forward Kathleen Schjodt added 11 points.
Scouting Air Force
Air Force is 3-24 on the season. Junior guard Raimee Beck leads the team offensively, scoring 13.6 points per game to go with 6.6 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Anna Gault ranks fourth in the confernce, averaging 4.4 assists per game. Air Force is averaging 53.3 points per game and allowing 70.3.
Scouting Wyoming
Wyoming is 16-10 on the season after falling to Utah, 52-48, on Sunday. Junior forward Hillary Carlson leads the team offensively, scoring 15.2 points per game to go with 6.3 rebounds. The Cowgirls are averaging 66.8 points per game and allowing 56.9.

Last Meeting
The Air Force women's basketball team dropped a 98-37 game at Wyoming Saturday afternoon at the Arena Auditorium. Wyoming shot 75.5 percent from the field and made 20 three-point baskets for the game. A blistering start by Wyoming put the game out of reach early. The Cowgirls made 14-of-16 from the field to start the game, including 7-of-9 from three-point range, to lead 35-7 less than 11 minutes in. Wyoming shot 84 percent from the field in the first-half (21-25) to lead 52-14 at the half. Wyoming center Hillary Carlson was nearly unstoppable in the paint, scoring 21 points--all in the first-half--to go with five blocks. Carlson made all 10 of her shots in the first half and finished 10-of-11 from the field. Air Force was led by junior guard Raimee Beck, who finished with nine points and four rebounds. Freshman guards Bethany Gross, Austyn Wilson and Danielle Sorrera scored their first-career points for the Falcons.

UNLV Game Recap
The Air Force women's basketball team dropped a 69-55 game at UNLV Saturday afternoon at Cox Pavilion. Junior guard Raimee Beck passed the 1,000 career point mark with a team-leading 17 points. Beck became the 12th player in school history and the third in the Div. I era to reach the 1,000 point mark. She also became the fourth junior in school history to achieve the mark and the first since Melissa Standley did so in 1989. Kelli Thompson led UNLV with 20 points and added eight rebounds. Jamie Smith notched a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds and Markiell Styles scored 12 points. Freshman guard Alicia Leipprant scored 12 points and senior forward Kathleen Schjodt added 11 to put three Falcons in double-figures. Beck led Air Force with nine rebounds and sophomore guard Anna Gault had a game-high six assists. A slow start hurt the Falcons, who later kept the game close. Committing nine turnovers 11 minutes into the game, Air Force found itself down 19-4 early on. The Falcons got settled soon afterwards and went into the half down 12 at 38-26. Air Force got to within eight points in the second half, but UNLV seemed to immediately follow with an answer all game to stay ahead by double-digits. The Falcons also got eight points and five rebounds from freshman forward Kelsey Berger and junior guard Jamela Satterfield scored three points and grabbed four rebounds.
Beck Becomes 12th Falcon To Score 1,000 Points
With 17 points against UNLV, junior guard Raimee Beck surpassed the 1,000 point mark, becoming the 12 player in school history, and the third in the Division I era to do so. With 1,006 career points, Beck is the first junior to reach the 1,000 point march since Melissa Standley did so in 1989.
Beck's current 11.8 point per game average is on pace to eclipse the all-time Div. I record of 1,237 career points scored by Alecia Steele (2004-08).

Junior guard Raimee Beck is off to a strong start so far in 2009-10. Beck had led Air Force in scoring 16 times and rebounding 18 times. She amongst the MWC top 15 in several categories.

With 170 career three-point baskets, junior guard Raimee Beck is four three-pointers shy of the school record. Megan Theidemann is the the current school record holder with 173 three's.
Gault Amongst MWC Leaders In Assists
Sophomore point guard Anna Gault ranks fourth in the MWC in assists averaging 4.4 per game. Gault is already third all-time (Div. I era) in assists at Air Force.
Her current 4.4 apg puts her on pace for 114 assists in 26 games, which would come close to the Div. I record of 119 set by Latoya Howell in 2002-03.
Gault Surpasses 100 Assist Mark
Sophomore point guard Anna Gault surpassed the 100 assist mark with six assists vs. UNLV, giving her 101 on the season. She becomes the fourth player in Div. I history to do so. Her 200 career assists ranks third in Div. I history.
Earlier this season, Gault dished out a career-high 12 assists against Colorado State on Jan. 9. The 12 assists is the second highest total in Div. I history at Air Force. It was Gault's third double-digit assist game in her AFA career.
One Of Youngest Teams In The Nation

Freshmen Make Immediate Impact
Four Falcon freshmen are already already making immediate impacts for the Falcons. Four of Air Force's top six scorers are freshmen. Rookies Alicia Leipprandt, Kelsey Berger, Katie Hilbig and Dymond James, rank second-through-sixth in scoring for the Falcons.
Kelsey Berger - forward has started every game for the Falcons. Scored a career-high 23 points against Colorado State. Third on team in scoring, averaging 7.6 ppg. Also second with 26 three's.
Dymond James - forward cracked starting lineup and started four consecutive games. Leads team with .440 field goal percentage to go with 9.0 PPG in conference and 55 trips to free throw line.
Alicia Leipprandt - Second in scoring, averaging 7.8 ppg in 15.8 mpg. Third on team in field goal pct (.382) and third in free throw attempts (58) and third with 16 three point baskets.
Katie Hilbig - forward is averaging 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Second team with 63 trips to the free throw line.
Team Captains
Senior Kathleen Schjodt and junior Raimee Beck have been named team co-captains for the 2009-10 season. Schjodt is a three-year letterwinner at forward. Beck is a two-year letterwinner and returning starter at guard.
Six Letterwinners and Three Starters Return
Six letterwinners and three starters return for the Falcons. Juniors Raimee Beck and Liz Dunsworth and sophomore Anna Gault are Air Forces returning starters. Senior Kathleen Schjodt, junior Candice Chase and sophomore Jamela Satterfield round out the other returners. In addition, sophomore Kira Gonzalez, who did not play in any game as a freshman, also returns.
