Falcons Conclude Competition at NCAA Track and Field Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - With a 15th-place finish in the shot put, Air Force senior Sara Neubauer concluded competition for the Falcons this afternoon (March 13) at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
Neubauer recorded her best throw of the day on her first attempt, tossing a distance of 51'10½". She added a throw of 51'0¾", before fouling off her final attempt in the first round. She finished sixth in the opening flight and 15th overall.
Florida's Mariam Kevkhishvilli successfully defended her NCAA title, with a winning throw of 60'9½".
With the indoor season now officially complete, the Falcons head outdoors. Air Force opens the 2010 outdoor campaign on Saturday, March 20, when it heads to Fairfax, Va., for the George Mason Invitational.
