Falcons Draw San Diego State in Quarterfinals at MWC Championships

The Air Force men's tennis team will face San Diego State in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Mountain West Tennis Championships on Wednesday, April 28 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas, Nev. The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. (PT).
The Falcons enter the tournament as the seventh seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-12 overall record and an 0-6 mark in the MWC. The Aztecs, meanwhile, are ranked 62nd in the country and the tournament's No. 2 seed after finishing 11-12 overall and 5-1 in league play. SDSU defeated Air Force, 7-0, in San Diego on April 9.
MWC regular-season champion and 33rd-ranked BYU (21-5 overall) is the top seed after posting a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play. The Cougars receive a bye into the semifinals and will play the winner of No. 4-seeded TCU (9-12, 3-3 MWC) and No. 5-seeded Utah (7-15, 2-4 MWC). The other quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday will pit the No. 3 seed New Mexico (8-11, 3-3 MWC) against No. 6-seeded UNLV (12-11, 2-4 MWC).
Both semifinal contests will be played at 10 a.m. (PT) on Friday, April 30, with the championship match set for 10 a.m. (PT) on Saturday, May 1.
