Jim Gullo Earns Third Consecutive MWC Scholar-Athlete Award

Recent Air Force graduate Jim Gullo has been selected to receive a 2009-10 Scholar-Athlete Award from the Mountain West Conference. A total of 548 student-athletes received the highest academic honor bestowed by the conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
Gullo, who was a goalkeeper for the Falcons, graduated with a 3.62 GPA and received his bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He started seven games for the Falcons last fall and posted a 1.24 goals-against average and two shutouts. This is the third consecutive year Gullo received a Scholar-Athlete Award from the conference.
