Matt Underwood Named MPSF Player of the Week

Air Force junior goalkeeper has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer player of the week, according to the conference office. Underwood did not allow a goal in two road games this past weekend. On Friday, Underwood made three saves as the Falcons scored in the 69th minute to take a 1-0 victory at San Jose State. He then made the same number of saves on Sunday at Sacramento State in a scoreless draw with the Hornets. With the 1-0-1 weekend, the Falcons moved into sole possession of second place in the Mountain Division.
Underwood has allowed just one goal in Air Force's last four games and only four in the team's seven league contests. He currently has a 263-minute scoreless streak.
The Falcons open thier season-ending three-game homestand this Friday, Oct. 28 against Seattle University at Cadet Soccer Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.
