DES MOINES, Iowa - The Air Force 4x1600-meter relay team finished eighth in that event at the 102nd Drake Relays on Friday, Apr. 30, in Des Moines, Iowa. The quartet of junior Jim Walmsley, classmate Alex Zubey, sophomore Jeremy Drenckhahn and senior Tyler Stanley clocked a combined time of 16:59.86 to place eighth in the 19-team race.

Walmsley clocked a team-best split of 4:11.3, while the remaining times included Zubey's season-debut of 4:16.3, Drenckhahn's 4:15.8 and Stanley's 4:16.5.

Wisconsin won the 4x1600-meter race with a time of 16:32.76 under windy conditions at Drake Stadium.

Air Force concludes action at the Drake Relays tomorrow (Saturday, Apr. 30) with the men's distance medley relay team competing at 1:11 p.m. (CST).
