Falcons Conclude Action at Cowboy Classic

Turning in its best team score in Tuesday's round, the Air Force golf team finished 18th place at the Cowboy Classic, hosted by Wyoming at the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick-North Course. The Falcons, who fired a 287 in the final round, posted a three-round score of 884 (+44) for the tournament.
Senior Kyle Bailey (Austin, Texas) and freshman Philip Colwell (Fr., The Woodlands, Texas) were the Falcons' top performers at the Cowboy Classic, each tying for 57th place individually with a three-round score of 220 (+10).
Caleb Leestma (Jr., Seabrook, Texas), who turned in the low round of the day for Air Force on Tuesday with a 70, tied with teammate Kyle Westmoreland (Fr., Katy, Texas) for 81st place individually at 224, while Andrew Hoops (So., Highland, Calif.) rounded out the group in a tie for 91st place at 227.
Baylor captured the team title, posting a three-round score of 836 (-4), while Arizona's Tarquin Macmanus earned medalist honors, finishing with an 8-under-par 202.
The Falcons wrap up the regular season April 15-16, when they head to Provo, Utah, for the annual PING Cougar Classic, hosted by BYU.
