INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA announced the broadcast schedule for the 2011 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The four-day meet, which features three members of the Air Force track and field program, will be available via webcast and national television.
The NCAA and Drake University will offer a webcast of the 2011 NCAA Championships, while CBS and CBS Sports Network will broadcast two two-hour blocks of action.
The NCAA announced that there will be two separate webcast streams, in hopes of covering the majority of the action both on the track and from the field events. In addition, CBS Sports Network (Comcast Cable channel 170 in Colorado Springs) will broadcast live from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (CST) on Friday, while CBS will air the meet's final two hours (12:00-2:00 p.m. CST) on Saturday. Please note that webcasting will not be available during these two blocks of time.
In addition, live results will be available through the NCAA on GoAirForceFalcons.com.
Three members of the Air Force track and field team - James Cole (discus throw), Noah Palicia (decathlon) and Justin Tyner (3000-meter steeplechase) - will compete at the 2011 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, from June 8-11.
